Raina Tosheva
Raina joined the Division of Regulatory Services in the Feed and Fertilizer Lab as a Research Analyst in July, 2009. Raina received her degree in Biochemistry from University of Lodz, Poland and her Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry and Molecular biology from Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Sofia, Bulgaria. After completing these studies in her native country of Bulgaria, she came to the United States in 1992 on a postdoctoral appointment granted to her by the University of Kentucky, Department of Biochemistry. Later she was employed as a Research Associate by the UK Department of Medicine. Since joining Regulatory Services, Raina performs analysis of feeds for the presence and levels of additives including medications, contaminants, or other naturally occurring compounds by using High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). The primary focus is on the analysis of drugs and antibiotics. Also, her work includes using Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (UPLC/MS) for the analysis of mycotoxins, amino acids, and other compounds. Raina and her husband Warren and daughter Assia became US citizens several years ago and are residents of Lexington.

Wayne Ingram
Wayne Ingram joined the Feed and Fertilizer laboratory as a Senior Laboratory Technician in October 2006. He has a B.A. in Biology and Secondary Education from Berea College, and a M.S. degree in Soil Science from the University of Kentucky. He has extensive training in chemical and microbiological analysis of agricultural products and by-products. Wayne is originally from Menifee County, Kentucky.

Gary Coleman
Gary Coleman is a Senior Laboratory Technician in the Feed and Fertilizer laboratory. He graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a B.S. in Biology. Gary has worked in environmental, public health, and healthcare fields. He is originally from Pike County, Kentucky.
